Allyssa Beatty is a Winter Haven, Florida native and a recent graduate of the University of Miami, where she earned her degree in broadcast journalism. Go Canes!
While at UM, Allyssa was a spirited member of the Sunsations dance team, performing at every football and basketball game and cheering on the Hurricanes with pride.
When she wasn’t dancing, Allyssa focused on developing her on-air skills through a variety of school clubs and internships, laying a strong foundation for her career in journalism.
She’s thrilled to now call Roanoke home and especially excited to experience all four seasons for the first time!
Outside work, Allyssa enjoys Pilates, trying out local cuisine, and spending quality time with friends and family.
She’s eager to connect with the community and share meaningful local stories. Feel free to reach out via email to say hello or share a story idea!
