OCALA, Fla. (WCJB/Gray News) - A Florida man was arrested after he allegedly attacked another man he said was taking up too much space in their shared Uber.

Deputies with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office responded to a Walmart in Ocala last Saturday after a report of a disturbance. There, they spoke with 60-year-old Burton McDonald and the 65-year-old victim.

The victim said he and McDonald got into an argument over the amount of space the victim’s items were taking up in the shared Uber ride. It was after this argument that McDonald allegedly battered the victim.

McDonald was being held at the Marion County Jail with a $1,000 bond. Online records show he is scheduled to appear in court in November.
