Taiwan business center to open in Virginia under new partnership agreement

RICHMOND, Va. (WVVA) - Governor Glenn Youngkin announced a partnership with Taiwan Eastbound Alliance-Landing America (TEALA) to expand Taiwanese business investment in Virginia.

TEALA will open their first U.S. business center in the Commonwealth as a “soft landing” site for companies expanding operations.

Virginia was selected for its pro-business policies, proximity to Washington, D.C., and strengths in semiconductors, AI, and biotechnology. The partnership builds on Virginia’s Taiwan office opened in 2023.
