The Wayfarer Appalachia to host food festival with celebrity chefs

TAZEWELL, W.Va. (WVVA) - In Tazewell County, restaurant and live music venue, The Wayfarer will be hosting a celebrity chef weekend with musical guest, Gary Nichols.

The event will have a five-course meal accompanied by a live performance from the Grammy-award winning artist.

Co-owners Chris Myers and Donna Roberts anticipate a massive turnout for the event and will be welcoming vendors across the two Virginias.

“We also have Blackbird Bakery that will be hosting the desert for that night. And then on Saturday for our food festival, the celebrity chefs will be making a variety of finger-type foods, you can walk around, have cocktails, try whiskey, try different beers,” said Roberts.

The roster of celebrity chefs will include Kayla Robison from Chopped, Brian Duffy from Bar Rescue, and Chef Kev “D” from the Food Network.
