BLUEFIELD, W.Va. (WVVA) - Golfers who love the game and giving back to the community met up at the Tazewell Country Club for a good cause Friday morning.

The second annual ‘Clubs and Scrubs Golf Tournament’ raised money for the residents of Heritage Hall in Tazwell, a long term care and skilled nursing facility.

The event started last year and has seen a marked improvement in both attendance, and money raised.

Brittany Price, an administrator at Heritage Hall in Tazewell told WVVA, " Tazewell is growing, we have expanded this year and we had teams on a waiting list. We are definitely coming back next year and hope it will be bigger and better.”

Ramey Automotive provided prizes for the event including cash giveaways, and even a car if anyone managed to get a hole-in-one on the third hole.

The event raised 10-thousand dollars this year, up from 8-thousand the year before.
