Virginia Lottery holding ‘Thank a Teacher Art Contest’

VIRGINIA, (WVVA) - The Virginia Lottery is holding its “Thank a Teacher Art Contest.” Selected artwork will be placed on “Thank you” notes for teachers. Winners will be selected at three levels: elementary, middle and high school.

Each school that has a winner will receive $1,000 from The Supply Room and $1,000 from the Virginia Lottery. Winning artists will receive a $150 Visa gift card.

“It will take us about a month or so to comb through all of the designs that we receive and no surprise it’s always a very difficult task. We receive so many fabulous pieces of artwork from our very talented public school students. So we’ll take a couple of weeks to sit down and select our final three winners.” said Director of Public Affairs, Jennifer Mullen.

The contest is open now through January 31.
