BLUEFIELD, W.Va. (WVVA) - Storm Young, 22, a West Virginia native, has just written her first book and it is available for purchase through Amazon.

Her new book is titled “The Pen Pal: A West Virginia Mystery.” It takes part in the mountain state and in Alaska, both places where Young lived at one point.

The story follows the journey of Shiloh Ray, who is a military wife and young mother. Shiloh becomes Pen Pals with a woman in West Virginia and eventually ventures out to the Mountain State when letters from her new friend stop coming in.

The inspiration for the book came from a dream. “One night, I think it was a Tuesday night, I was just having a dream and I woke up from it and started writing key parts and I was like, this is a story I need to write, I love it and I think viewers will too,” said Young.
