Area tow truck operators stay busy through winter storm

PRINCETON, W.Va. (WVVA) - Mercer County, W.Va. tow truck operators worked through the night Sunday as road conditions remained poor during and following snowfall.
“We actually had to pull one guy out today, he was in a ditch.” said Michael Skeens, owner of Top Shelf Customs Towing and Recovery in Princeton, W.Va. “If you’ve got to come out you’ve just got to be extra cautious and, you know, if you can stay home, stay home.”
Skeens said Sunday night he’d already pulled cars out of ditches, snow banks etc. “A bunch of ice, slipping and wrecks. Stuff like that.”
