Princeton Senior High School Student earns national recognition
PRINCETON, W.Va. (WVVA) - Meet Rebecca Pruett, This high school senior is among the elite. She’s one of 51 chosen as part of the “Distinguished Young Women Program.”
To be selected, Pruett went through a rigorous application process. She showed her achievements in academics, fitness, talents, and self-expression, and this was accompanied by an interview process. Pruett says, her hard work was worth it in the end.
According to Princeton Senior High School’s Principal, Tom Adkins, Pruett is a bright young woman, and earning this honor was no surprise.
Pruett now has the chance to compete in the national finals. She will have the opportunity to tap into over $1 billion dollars in scholarships. Pruett says that she’s excited to represent The Mountain State, on a national stage.
Rebecca will participate in the national finals in mobile Alabama in June. We here at WVVA wish her the best of luck in the competition. To learn more about the distinguished young women program, go to distinguishedyw.Org.
