The #BettyWhiteChallenge urges fans of the late celebrity, to donate to animal shelters

PRINCETON, W.Va. (WVVA) - An internet movement honoring the late actress betty white is looking to help out animal shelters.
The #BettyWhiteChallenge is calling for fans of the American icon to make a $5 dollar donation to an animal shelter or rescue in her name on what would’ve been her 100th birthday on January 17th.
The Director of The Mercer County Animal Shelter says the donations would provide shelter animals with the services and supplies they need to get by.
The Mercer County Animal shelter also takes donations of food, blankets, and cleaning supplies.
