BECKLEY, W.Va. (WVVA) - WVU Tech used a balanced attack to conquer an incredible individual performance.

Four Golden Bears scored in double figures. Tamon Scruggs led with 23, Gunner Short contributed 17, Thomas Hailey dropped 15 and Ashton Parker had 11.

It was a one-man show for the Shock. Mastadi Pitt scored 36 of the team’s 70 points including seven three-pointers.

The Golden Bears lived in the paint. They scored 52 of their 81 points from in-close.

It was a close game throughout. It seemed like every time Tech tried to pull away, Pitt would hit a big shot.

The well-rounded effort by Tech was eventually too much as the Golden Bears won 81-70 despite shooting just 3-17 from beyond the arc.

They are now 12-2 on the season.
