Concord Soccer falls to Saint Rose in Elite Eight

BECKLEY, W.Va. (WVVA) - Concord Women’s Soccer surrendered multiple leads in a loss to Saint Rose this afternoon.

The two teams fought to a scoreless tie in the first half, but combined for four goals in the second half. It was a hectic match, with ever-shifting momentum.

Yasmin Mosby got the scoring started in the 57th minute. Jen Bartlett answered for Saint Rose less than three minutes later.

Michelle Brogden put Concord back in front in the 70th minute. Just as the Mountain Lions seemed to gain control of the match, Ciera Lundy put the equalizer in the back of the net for Saint Rose in the 77th minute.

Just two minutes into extra time, Lexi Grassia snuck in front of the Concord defense and scored to send Saint Rose to the Final Four and deliver Concord a heart-breaking finish to the season.
