3-year-old boy flown to Charleston from Wyoming County after falling from two-story window

UPDATE: WVVA has learned additional details on this situation. Wyoming County Sheriff Bradley Ellison confirmed that the call came in just before 1 p.m.

Sheriff Ellison shared that the boy never lost consciousness, but was bleeding from the mouth. The boy was flown in for medical care as a precaution.

He is currently being evaluated at the Level 1 trauma center at Charleston Area Medical Center.

Investigators say there appeared to be an open window on the scene. Police are still investigating just how the child fell.

LYNCO, W.Va. (WVVA) - The Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a 3-year-old child fell from a second story window.

The child has reportedly been flown to Charleston to be treated for their injuries. It’s unknown how severe the injuries are at this time. Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office says that the child was at home at the time of the fall.

This investigation remains open and ongoing.
