Mercer County Health Department gets green light to resume vaccine clinics
BLUEFIELD, W.Va. (WVVA) - The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources is officially clearing the Mercer County Health Department to resume its vaccine clinics.
WVVA received a copy of the letter informing the health department just before 10 p.m. Tuesday evening.
The move by the state comes after the health department admitted to erroneously giving twice the recommended dose of the Moderna booster to more than two hundred people in late October.
That’s when their clinics were halted by the state.
Now, the DHHR is giving the Mercer County health department all necessary certifications to resume vaccination clinics as soon as possible.
