Thanksgiving foods that are safe to feed your dog
BLUEFIELD, W.Va. (WVVA) - Have you been wondering which Thanksgiving foods are safe to feed your dog? According to those at All Creatures Veterinary Clinic in Princeton, there are no good human table foods for dogs. The best food for a dog according to them is dog food.
But if you have to feed your beloved family friends you can’t go too wrong with fresh veggies. Those at the vet explain the importance of not giving your dog things like turkey bones and ham.
“If a dog steals a piece of turkey and gets a piece of bone you gotta watch, be concerned and it’s certainly not something we would ever recommend because it would be something that would require at least medial intervention if not surgical intervention. That’s not cheap either way, so I typically say don’t feed them those types of things, ham as well.” said Dr. Bill Streit with All Creatures Veterinary Clinic.
