MCDOWELL COUNTY, W.Va. (WVVA) - Shane Hagerman, who was charged with murder after a shooting on Thanksgiving day in 2018 in the Barley area, was found guilty Friday.
The trial began Monday, and the jury deliberation took nearly two days before a verdict was reached.
Hagerman was charged with murder after McKinley Addair was shot and killed during an argument at a family gathering, with what was said to be a broken shotgun. Hagerman testified in his own defense, and told the jury he was firing in self defense.
