BLUEFIELD, W.Va. (WVVA) - In Bluefield West Virginia, The Wade Center received a $32,000 donation from the American Electric Power Foundation.

Over the years, the AEP Foundation, has donated to educational programs in the local cities they serve.

This donation to The Wade Center was given by representatives of Appalachian Power. Leaders at The Wade Center said, donations like these are what fuel the continuation of their good deeds.

“We can keep the doors open. We keep the doors open, we have our computers here so that the children can continue to come. Kids that are being quarantined and can’t go into the schools, they can come here and do their homework. Continue to be active in the school program. Make sure that they’re getting everything handled and taken care of, and we’re providing for them.”

The Wade Center also welcomes donations from the public to help pay for operational costs. If you’d like to donate, you can go to wadecenter.Com and donate via PayPal.
