BECKLEY, W.Va. (WVVA) -Families hoping to save heading into the holidays may want to head to Beckley this Friday and Saturday. That is where the bi-annual Family Marketplace Consignment Sale is happening at Memorial Baptist Church.

The sale is about families helping families with more than 30,000 gently pre-owned toys, clothes, winter coats, infant furniture, and more.

On Friday, the items will be 50 to 85 percent off from 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Then on Saturday, during those same hours, all of those prices will be slashed by half.

While not required, prospective customers may reserve a shopping time online by visiting the ‘Family Marketplace Consignment Sale’ on Facebook.

“It’s all about community. It’s families that sell. It’s families that buy. Then it’s putting it back into the community through charity, donations, and families who are able to trade out their items by selling and buying,” explained organizer Amanda Arnold.

This year, Arnold said the organization will also be contributing to ‘Toys for Tots.’ Customers may bring in a new unwrapped toy to be donated to the charity or bring in a cash donation and the Family Marketplace will match the contribution.
