An area of low pressure off towards the west is approaching the area and will pass us to the north. Out ahead of it, the atmosphere will be pretty unstable for the 24 hours before a cold front passes by around Friday morning.
Strong to severe thunderstorms are a possibility this evening, and flooding remains a concern. Storm will continue to fire between now and around 9pm. Storm intensities should decrease and give way to rain showers by the overnight hours with lows in the upper 50s.
The atmosphere looks a bit more stable for tomorrow than it is today. Nevertheless, thunderstorms are still not out of the question during the late afternoon and evening hours. Chances of severe thunderstorms seem much less likely for tomorrow with highs in the low 70s and lows in the upper 40s. The cold front passes through Friday morning with highs only in the low 60s under clearing skies. The weekend looks quiet with highs right around 70 degrees. Rain/storms are possible Monday through Wednesday with highs in the low to upper 70s.
