High pressure across New England will keep skies clear to start tonight, but an area of low pressure moving from the Gulf to the Carolinas plus a cold front to our west will start pushing high clouds into our area late. Temperatures will fall back to the 30s and low 40s with a southeast breeze that may get gusty again around and downwind of the mountains. Clouds stick around Friday, keeping most temperatures in the lower to mid 60s. Winds shift to the west-southwest which will help to warm things up overall. Clouds keep Friday night temps in the 40s with a stray shower possible.

We may have some trouble getting rid of clouds Saturday, especially south and east of Bluefield. Low pressure will move away from the Carolina coast though, which should give us more sun in the afternoon and push highs into the mid 60s. This low continues to move away from the coast Sunday, which will keep our Easter dry, sunny and warm with highs around 70-perfect weather. Clouds return Monday ahead of a cold front that looks to bring scattered showers and thunderstorms Tuesday, followed by sun and 70s for midweek!

TAZEWELL, Va (WVVA)-- It's still fire season across the Two Virginias, and foresters in Virginia tell us this spring has been particularly brutal.Tazewell County alone has had 400-500 acres burn during 11 brush fires. The headwaters region, which also includes Russell, Bland, and Buchanan counties, has seen more than 40 fires. That's already more than the total last year, said area forester Zach Addington, and this could mean citizens need to re-familiarize themselves with burn bans. Accordin...More >>
