WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS (WVVA) -

"I think about my wife all the time..I didn't know you could miss somebody like that."

Ronnie Scott lost his wife, Belinda of 36 yrs to the flood in 2016. He is now a resident of Hope Village, a community of 38 homes built for survivors of the flood.

While residents are still grieving, workers are putting the final touches on the landscaping in the community.

"They put sod around mine because I told them I wasn't moving in if I was gonna track sod around a brand new house," adds Scott.

Volunteers from Homes for White Sulphur Springs-- the group responsible for building Hope Village says it was the community outpouring that kept this project on track.

"We raised a lot of money. Lots and lots of volunteers came. And in two years we've pretty much got White Sulphur Springs back on it's feet," said Volunteer, Tom Crabtree. "I've met a lot of people. And..I'm 62-years-old and I didn't know there were so many kind and generous people in this world I'm telling you," said Scott.
