Tim Gray sworn is as Princeton Police Chief


The Princeton City Council made it official and removed the interim tag from Tim Gray. They have sworn him in as the new Chief of Police. Chief Gray is a 17-year-veteran of the force was named Interim Chief in March to replace retiring Chief John Howell. Gray says the ceremony Monday was a proud and exciting moment for him and his family.

He says that he will work his hardest to do a great job and that he's fortunate to have a great staff already in place.

"I'm very thankful for this opportunity and I will say this, with these officers we have on hand, I feel like we have some of the best officers, if not the best officers in Mercer county and if not in the southern part of West Virginia and I want the citizens of Princeeton know that their best interests are at hand," said Chief Gray. 

Chief Gray added that he is excited to get the substation on Mercer Street opened and looks forward to being a part of moving Princeton forward.
