Patrick Morrisey visits Shrimp Feast

West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey stopped by the Shrimp Feast at the Brushfork Armory on Thursday night, but it wasn't just for the food. It was more about explaining himself to the voters. Morrisey, a Republican, is running in next week's primary for the right to challenge Democrat Joe Manchin in November.

He faces five opponents, including Congressman Evan Jenkins and former Massey Energy CEO Don Blankenship. With the primary quickly approaching, Morrisey says his plan is to meet the people who are headed to the polls.

"We're going to shake every hand. I'm going to talk about the need to get the one proven Conservative through so we can defeat Joe Manchin. Tonight, we're in Bluefield, then we're going to Charleston, up to Parkersburg, up to the Northern Panhandle, up to Clarksburg, then we're heading home to the Eastern Panhandle and we're meeting with voters day and night, getting the word out," said Morrisey.
