UPDATE: Police say 5-year-old was in rolling meth lab

PRINCETON, WV (WVVA) -

Police say the man busted in Princeton towing a makeshift methamphetamine lab was riding around with a 5-year-old child.

Jonathan Shane Buzzo, 44, is being held in Southern Regional Jail on $75,000 cash-only bond.

Buzzo was arrested Thursday following a traffic stop on Thorn Street. He was driving a pickup truck pulling a camper trailer.

Police say the 5-year-old was in close proximity to meth-making materials. The child was taken to the hospital as a precaution. The child is fine and is now staying with family.

The Southern Regional Drug and Violent Crime Task Force is handling the investigation.


Police discover a makeshift methamphetamine lab following a traffic stop in Princeton.

The traffic stop was made around 4:00 p.m. Thursday by a motel on Thorn Street.

According to police, the makeshift lab was found in camper being pulled by a pickup. One man is in custody.

The Princeton Police Department and Princeton Fire Department are still on scene as 5:00 p.m.
