A traffic stop in Scarbro leads to the arrest of two wanted people.

Sheriff Mike Fridley says around 8 pm tonight, a Fayette County Sheriff's Deputy was conducting traffic enforcement on Cafego Road in the Scarbro area. The Deputy conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Scarbro Loop and Cafego Road on a white jeep.

The deputy learned that the driver, Jessica Renee Harrah, 35 of Oakhill has active felony warrants out of Raleigh County for Conspiracy to Commit a Felony.  A male passenger in the car made repeated attempts to provide the deputy with a false identity. Once the deputy was able to determine the subject's real name, the man fled on foot, over fences and through yards. The deputy was able to capture the suspect and place him under arrest.

The male, Aaron Daniel Fortner, 33 of Hilltop was charged with fleeing an officer, obstructing and simple possession of narcotics. Fortner also had an outstanding bench warrant from Fayette County Circuit Court for probation violation.

Harrah's bond was set at $25,000 by the Fayette County Magistrate's Office, which she was unable to post. Fortner will be held until seen by the Circuit Court regarding the bench warrant. Both were transported to the Southern Regional Jail.
