WVU Tech sweeps Indiana University Kokomo

The WVU Tech men's and women's basketball teams continued their homestand Saturday with wins over Indiana University Kokomo. The women were victorious 72-51 for their fourth win in their last five games. Alexandria Gray had 15 points to lead the Golden Bears. Tech improves to 13-11 overall and 8-4 in conference play. 

The men held on for a 99-95 win in the second half of the afternoon doubleheader from Beckley. The team shot nearly 56 percent from field in the victory. Thomas Collins had 31 points to lead the team. Senior Michael Scott had a double-double for the Golden Bears. He finished the day with 20 points and 14 rebounds. The team improves to 14-9 overall and 8-4 in conference.

The women host Bluefield State on Wednesday as part of the Big Atlantic Classic. The men will host Bluefield College on Wednesday also as part of the Big Atlantic Classic.
