WVU Tech sweeps Midway

The WVU Tech men's and women's basketball teams finished out their three game homestands on Saturday with wins over Midway. The women were victorious 72-65 and the men 93-65. Savannah Shamblin and Alexandra Combs each finished with 17 points. They improve their record 11-10 overall  and 6-3 in the conference. The men improve to 12-8 overall and 6-3 in conference play. Up next, both teams visit Alice Lloyd on Tuesday.

    The Princeton Rays may have already won the Mercer Cup trophy, but the Blue Jays are still in contention to win the East Division of the Appalachian League.  On Sunday night, the Blue Jays and Rays faced off with only three games separating the two teams at the top of the division standings.  At the end of the day, the Blue Jays came out victorious, winning the game 9-5.  The two Mercer County squads will face off at 7pm on Monday for the last time of the season. More >>
