Texas Tech ends West Virginia's win streak

The West Virginia men's basketball entered Saturday's showdown with Texas Tech with a 15-game win streak and their biggest national ranking in over five decades. They were unable to keep the momentum going and fell 72-71. Jevon Carter hit a late three to make it a one point game with seconds remaining, but it wasn't enough as the Mountaineers drop to 15-2 on the season and 4-1 in the Big 12. Carter also led the team in scoring with 28 points. The Mountaineers host Kansas on Monday night.
