UPDATE: There were new details late Wednesday following the arrest of a Wyoming County teacher.

Zachary Cox is out on bond after his arrest Tuesday for soliciting minors through his Snapchat App. Deputies said at least four different students at Westside High School were contacted by Cox.

Presently, deputies are working with the West Virginia State Police Crime Lab in an attempt to scour Snapchat servers to see if more students are involved. But that may be a difficult task given the social media's policy of permanently deleting messages from their servers after a message is read.

"Please monitor what your kids are doing. Check their phones frequently. A lot of this can happen and kids aren't aware until they're too deep," said Chief Deputy J. White.

Captain D. Cook is handling the investigation. Any parents or students with additional information are urged to contact the Wyoming County Sheriff's Dept.

CLEAR FORK, W. Va. (WVVA) --  A Westside High School teacher was arrested on Tuesday after deputies said he sent inappropriate messages to students on social media.

Zachary Cox, 30, was suspended from his role as a teacher and baseball coach at Westside High School three weeks ago pending an investigation. But now, deputies have confirmed Cox's arrest, saying they have evidence he sent inappropriate messages and pictures to at least four different students.

Cox is charged with 4 counts of use obscene matter with intent to solicit a minor.

Right now, the case is being handled by the Wyoming County Sheriff's Dept. He is currently being held in Southern Regional Jail (SRJ) on a $60,000 bond.
