Shots fired at Harper Rd. gas station, Sheriff's Dept. looking for persons of interest

The Raleigh County Sheriff's Department needs your help with identifying three persons of interest involved in a shots fired incident on Harper Rd. in Beckley.

According to Dep. Sheriff S.L. McClure, Raleigh Co. dispatch received a call at around 3:30 Sunday afternoon of shots fired at the Harper Rd. Go Mart, located just off exit 44 on Interstate 77.

Deputies say an argument began inside the store between a young white male and white female. Shortly after, another white male entered the store and approached the two. That's when the situation escalated.

The man in a black jacket began firing shots at the other man, wearing a grey jacket, as he was leaving the parking lot.

"The one male fled the store, the other male in the black jacket came around the backside of the store and fired approximately five rounds at the subject,” McClure said. “Both parties fled the scene. We feel this was an isolated incident, just that all three parties were in the same location at the same time, and this was a result of some type of conflict between the three."

The three persons of interest are said to have fled the scene in two SUVs, one believed to be a green Jeep Cherokee.

If you think you may know who these people are, or there whereabouts, you're asked to contact the Raleigh Co. Sheriff's Dept. or Crimestoppers.
