Police capture suspect of Lewisburg burglary

A Greenbrier County man wanted on charges for burglaries in Lewisburg has been apprehended.

According to Chief Tim Stover of the Lewisburg Police Department, the suspect, Bruce Allen Plumley of White Sulphur Springs, has eluded police since early July. He was wanted on charges related to a breaking and entering at the Very Thing Antique Shop in Lewisburg.

On Friday night, Chief Stover says that officers from the Ronceverte Police Department were investigating a call of a suspicious vehicle. Upon contact with that vehicle, a male occupant exited the vehicle and ran from the officers. A search ensued with members of the Ronceverte Police Department and the Greenbrier County Sheriff's Department in the area of the traffic stop. Plumley was apprehended a short time later by Ronceverte Police Assistant Chief E.D. Vaught.

Stover also says Plumley is charged with one count of Breaking and Entering and one count of Conspiracy to Commit a Felony. Plumley is a suspect in other burglaries, so the investigation is still ongoing. He was arraigned by Greenbrier County and is lodged in the Southern Regional Jail in lieu of a $50,000.00 cash only bond.
