West Virginia police officer under fire for off-duty incident involving gun

Posted:

A  police captain with the Nitro Police Department is on administrative leave after a Facebook video surfaces showing him holding a gun during a heated argument with two men.

According to WSAZ.com, Captain Richard Foster was relieved of his police weapons, vehicle, and police identification. The Nitro Police Dept. is conducting an internal investigation and the Kanawha County Sheriff's Office has launched a criminal investigation.

The person who shot the video tells WSAZ the argument started when a group of people were attempting to move a trailer onto property that neighbors the Foster family. They say the mother refused to move a vehicle that was in the way.
