Child safety event set for Saturday in Princeton

The City of Princeton Fire Department will be holding their 8th annual Child Safety Education Day Saturday..

They are going to cover child bike and highway safety.

There will be free child safety seat checks provided by the West Virginia Governor's Highway Safety Program for parents with car seats.

Mr. Fitzewater says, "They will be able to see the station tomorrow, both this engine and the ladder truck will be on display tomorrow for them to see. The guys that are on shift tomorrow will be assisting throughout the day to help firefighter Croy with safety day and help show off the equipment, the gear that they wear and the vehicles that they use."
While learning about child safety, the event will also celebrate National Bike Month.

In honor of that, there is a bicycle helmet giveaway for children in need of one.

Another thing for children to enjoy will be a bicycle obstacle course around the Municipal Building in Princeton.

The event runs tomorrow, Saturday May 20th, from 10 am till 2 pm at the Princeton Municipal Building off of Courthouse Road.
