UPDATE: Police capture man wanted in Nicholas County murder

NICHOLAS COUNTY, WV (WVVA) -

A suspect wanted in the shooting death of a Nicholas County man has been captured.

Bobby Miness, 36, was arrested around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday night in Webster County. Miness was wanted in connection with the shooting death of 28-year-old Nathan Branham. 

According to the West Virginia State Police, Branham was shot multiple times on Monday at a residence on Bays Road, just south of Sutton.

Miness is charged with first degree murder. He also faces charges in Braxton County.


The search is on for a man wanted in connection with a shooting death on Monday in Nicholas County.

According to the West Virginia State Police, Nathan Branham, 28, was shot multiple times at a residence on Bays Road; just south of Sutton. The alleged shooter, Bobby Miness "fled the scene in an unknown direction of travel."
