Graham's Meade small in stature, big in heart

Bluefield, VA

Listed at five foot seven and 130 pounds while he may not big in stature, Graham quarterback Ben Meade has played big for the G-Men throughout his career. "People tell me I'm not big enough or tall enough to play where I want to play and I'm just using it as a motivation to keep playing hard and keep winning for my team" said Meade.

And winning he's done. He's led the G-Men to 5-1 record this season and has his team poised for a deep playoff run. "Well it's a great feeling for us. All the seniors, we've put in many hours of work from December all the way through two a days and through this year and it's been amazing so far, we just to keep going."

The Graham football program has a long and proud history and Meade wants to make sure that he adds to that legacy. "It definitely means a lot to me because I want to help bring this team bring back the tradition they had and just help our team keep winning."

Meade's head coach Tony Palmer looks past the critics and knows that he has the man he wants leading his team. "He's good for us. That's what we want. He's a Graham G-Man through and through. He plays hard, he plays with his guys. He's more of a we before me type of guy and we're fortunate enough to have him as our quarterback" said Palmer.
