White Sulphur Springs Christmas decorations ruined

The city of White Sulphur Springs lost their Christmas lights display in the June flood.

Now, Old White Garden Club and Main Street White Sulphur Springs are working together to raise funds. There are 39 poles and they've received donations for 14 poles. While they understand there are greater needs than Christmas decorations, they want to make Christmas as bright and festive for the residents of White Sulphur Springs as possible.

"We have a wonderful Christmas parade. We have lots of our community organizations participate in the parade. The children look forward to that. It lights up our village and it lights up our town and hopefully it will light up people's hearts again," said President of Main Street White Sulphur Springs, Pat Harper.

If you would like to donate to help replace the Christmas lights, you can call City Hall at 304-536-1454. Checks can be written to Main Street WSS, which is a non-profit 501(c)3, meaning it is tax-deductible.
