An upper level low to our west will continue to cause widely scattered showers and a few thunderstorms overnight. The best chance for rain will be north of I-64.
Drier conditions are expected on Saturday, but we can't completely rule out an isolated morning shower. Highs on Saturday will be in the lower and middle 70s. Dry weather will continue on Sunday as high pressure builds into our area and the upper low to our west begins to lift away from our area.
We will continue to see dry and warm weather next week with highs in the lower and middle 70s. A ridge will begin to build across the eastern United States by the middle and end of next week. Warm and mostly dry conditions are expected, but there could be a few showers around as moisture returns to our area. We're also watching Hurricane Matthew which is expected to track to our east late next week and weekend. As of now, it appears the tropical system will pass to our east, possibly interacting with a front to touch off a few rain showers. Stay tuned!
