Concord ready for rival Charleston

Athens, WV

With the recent reconfiguration of the WVIAC to the Mountain East has left Concord void of one big thing, and that has been a local rival. However this team has found that in the last few seasons on the gridiron in the University of Charleston. These two will clash again on Saturday at Callaghan Stadium, in what should be another fun game.

The Mountain Lions will come into this one at 2-2 on the year while the Golden Eagles have struggled out to a 1-3 start.  These two have played some thrillers over the years.  Since 2012 the average margin of victory for either side has been just 5 points.  When you look at the rosters and style of play these two are almost parallel.  Which is why these two always seem to bring out the best out of each other.  "Geographically we are close. We kind of been mirror teams. For the last several years both of us have been in the running very late into the season. That means whoever won the game has the upper hand. If you look at the last 5 years that's been the case" said head coach Paul Price.
