(WVVA) High pressure will continue to control our weather, keeping us warm and dry. The remains of Julia will stay off to our southeast, but circulation around the low may bring a few clouds to eastern parts of the viewing area tonight and tomorrow. Patchy fog will develop again tonight, especially in valleys. A mix of sun and clouds can be expected again on Wednesday, with high temperatures near 80.
Dry weather will continue for the rest of the work week. A cold front will move through the area Saturday night and Sunday, as a result only a few isolated showers are expected, otherwise we'll see a dry weekend. A stronger cold front will approach from the west Monday or Tuesday next week. Forecast model guidance has slowed down the progression of this front, and it may not be until late Tuesday that we see it move through our area.
