Mountain East approves changes to Basketball Tournament

There will be some big changes to the Mountain East Conference basketball tournament this coming season.  First, the tournament will return to the Charleston Civic Center in 2017 and will be big out from there.  Next, the top ten teams on each the men's and women's side will advance to the conference tournament.  The top 6 teams will get byes and the 7 through 10 seeds will play the opening round on Wednesday March 1st.  The women's quarterfinals will be on Thursday March 2nd.  The men's quarterfinals on Friday March 3rd.  With the semifinals on Saturday March 4th, and the finals on Sunday March 5th.

    Rays stay hot, defeat Mets 5-3

    Princeton's Luis Moncado and Kingsport's Nate Peden were both hot on the pitcher's mound for the first four innings of Friday night's game.  It wasn't until the fifth inning that Kingsport put a digit on the scoreboard when Guillermo Granadillo singled on a line drive, bringing Pedro Diaz home to make it 1-0.  The Mets also scored in the 6th and 8th innings.  However, in the bottom of the 8th, the Rays erased the deficit by scoring five runs, which proved to be enoug...More >>

    Rays get first win over Mets, 6-4

    The Rays were looking to do something they had not done yet in 2018 -- beat the Kingsport Mets. Thanks to some early runs, they did, winning 6-4.
