...Summary...

The National Weather Service in Blacksburg VA has confirmed a

tornado near Summit Lake Campground in extreme northern Greenbrier

County West Virginia on June 21 2016.

The tornado entered Greenbrier County from Nicholas County at

305 pm and moved east southeast...crossing County Road 3915 and

Highway 55 before lifting. Hundreds of trees were snapped or

uprooted by the tornado. The total path length across Greenbrier

County was 2.6 miles.

The tornado originally touched down in Nicholas County before moving

into Greenbrier County...making the total path length 5.4 miles.
