PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (AP) - A city councilman in West Virginia has been arrested after authorities say he made "loud verbal statements" toward an individual being treated during a medical call. The Parkersburg News and Sentinel reports Parkersburg City Councilman Eric Barber was arrested Monday and charged with disorderly conduct and obstructing a law enforcement officer.
CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - Authorities in West Virginia are investigating after a state employee's parked vehicle was hit by a bullet on state capital property. The Department of Military Affairs and Public Safety tell local media that police responded to a report of suspected gunfire near the state Capital Complex parking lot Wednesday at about 10:45 a.m.
FAIRMONT, W.Va. (AP) - A West Virginia man convicted of more than 140 counts of sex crimes against children has been sentenced. The Times West Virginian reports 42-year-old Iran Glover was sentenced Tuesday to 230-735 years in prison.
