UPDATE: Store employee allegedly beaten and robbed in Bluewell

MERCER COUNTY (WVVA) -

UPDATE: According to The Mercer County Sheriff's Office, an employee at Tammy's in Bluewell was robbed early Wednesday morning. 

Detectives say an undisclosed amount of money was stolen from the establishment. 

The woman sustained injuries, but refused medical treatment.

No information regarding the two suspects is being released at this time.

Deputies and Detectives with The Mercer County Sheriff's office were called to an incident where a woman was allegedly beaten and robbed. 

The woman told 911 dispatchers that her purse was also stolen.  The call came in just before 3:45AM on Wednesday, February 17, 2016.

It happened on Coal Heritage Road.

According to dispatchers, a woman alleges that two people beat her up, using their fists and then stole her purse. She went on to say that the two left on foot and were headed toward Kroger.

Very few details are being released at this time.
