GOP appointment sworn in to WV Senate

The woman chosen to fill the West Virginia Senate seat left vacant after Daniel Hall's resignation is sworn in on Monday.

Senate President Bill Cole had the honors of welcoming Sen. Sue Cline (R) , of Brenton, to the Legislature. She will serve the 9th District; which encompasses Raleigh County, Wyoming County,and parts of McDowell County. 

There are seventeen districts in the West Virginia Senate with two senators serving in each district.. Sen. Jeff Mullins (R) of Raleigh County also serves the 9th District. Click here to see the Senate District maps.

Sen. Cline was chosen last week by Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin from a list of nominees compiled by Republican leadership. Tomblin made the appointment after a ruling by the West Virginia Supreme Court.
