GREENBRIER COUNTY (WVVA) Two hunters in Greenbrier County face charges for spotlighting deer from an old school house.

According to officers with the West Virginia Natural Resources, they received a complaint of spotlighting coming from an old school house that has been converted into a hunting camp.

Upon arrival, the officers got into an observation position and saw a red light omitting from the school house along with sporadic flashes from what appeared to be a large flash light or spotlight.

The officers then heard two muffled shots coming from the building. They approached the camp and took two men into custody. Officers say the Virginia-based illegal hunters were "armed with night vision equipment and fire arms outfitted with suppressors."

The men had also spread corn in a field close to the camp.
