Hunters from three states arrested for poaching in Summers County

SUMMERS COUNTY -- Several people are arrested after police discover illegal hunting activity in Summers County.
According to West Virginia Natural Resources Police, they pulled active hunting violators out of the woods, even though there were 18 deer already harvested, hanging at the hunting camp in Green Sulphur Springs.
The investigation resulted in several arrests and more than $10,000 in fines.
The people arrested were from West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey.  Charges ranged from spotlighting, to no licenses/stamps, to safety violations.
Police say this type of "illegal camp" is a yearly issue for the hunters of West Virginia.
All deer seized were donated to citizens of Summers County.
