WVDOH worker hit by car while holding a road sign in Mercer County

KEGLEY (WVVA)- A WV Department of Highways worker was hit by a car, while holding a roadwork sign. 

According to The Mercer County Sheriff's Office, the incident happened a little after 10:00AM on Monday, November 23, 2015, at the intersection of Bartley Lane and Shawnee Baptist Church in Kegley.

Deputies say the worker,54, was hit by a driver in a red F-150 pick-up truck. The worker was transported to the hospital with a possible broken leg.  

The driver is charged with DUI resulting in injury and leaving the scene of an accident involving serious injury. His identity is not being released at this time.
