Fayette County man, James Redden, arrested on burglary charges


A Fayette County man is facing charges this afternoon after allegedly stealing four thousand dollars’ worth of items from a home in the Danese area of Fayette County.

Jesse Redden, 45, is accused of stealing firearms, several small hand tools, a large collection of knives.  The list continues.

The burglary happened on Sunday.

Deputies were given a tip that led them to redden on Monday.

A Danese man is in jail following his arrest on burglary charges. Sheriff Steve Kessler released the following information concerning this arrest: 
On Sunday, November 15, 2015 notification was received through the Fayette County 911 Center of a residential burglary in the Danese area of Fayette County. Upon arrival at the scene, Deputies learned that someone had broken into a home located near the Danese Volunteer Fire Department and had stolen more than $4,000.00 in property. The items reported as stolen included several firearms, several small hand-tools, a large collection of knives, belt buckles and jewelry, a large collection of old coins and several items of leather motorcycle apparel. 
During the early evening hours of Monday, November 16, 2015 Deputies received information concerning a possible suspect in connection with this crime. After following up on this tip Deputies were able to obtain a search warrant for a residence located in very close proximity to the residence of the victim. At approximately 8:30 pm this evening Sergeant T.N. Mooney and Deputy R.G. Gipson, II. of the Danese Detachment of the Sheriff's Office and Corporal S.K. Neal of the Fayetteville Detachment of the Sheriff's Office, assisted by the Sheriff's Detective Bureau, executed this search warrant. During the execution of this warrant Deputies were able to recover almost all of the stolen property. The suspect had sold one of the stolen firearms, but Deputies were able to identify and track down the buyer and recover that stolen firearm as well. 
Jesse Redden, age 45, of Danese was arrested without incident and charged with a single count of nighttime burglary. He was remanded to the Southern Regional Jail pending his arraignment in the Magistrate Court of Fayette County on Tuesday. 
"Based on the results of this investigation, additional charges of burglary, grand larceny and being a convicted felon in possession of firearms are anticipated to be filed in the morning," said Sheriff Kessler. 
This incident remains under investigation by Corporal S.K. Neal and by the Danese Detachment of the Sheriff's Office.
