Man charged with first-degree murder enters a plea
MERCER COUNTY -- A man charged with first-degree murder enters a plea to a lesser charge. Nyiheem Whitlow appeared before Judge William Sadler Thursday in Mercer County. He pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter, and the charges of first-degree murder and five counts of wanton endangerment were dismissed. If you recall, Whitlow allegedly shot and killed Lance Terry on the corner of Essex and Union Streets in Bluefield, back in March. Whitlow could spend three to fifteen years in prison. He will be sentenced December 18.
