UPDATE: Suspects named after meth lab found in car with toddler in Beckley

BECKLEY (WVVA) -

We are now learning the names of the duo accused of having a meth lab in a car with a toddler.

Rikki Richie, 40, and Steve Collins, 54, are facing multiple charges including operating a clandestine lab, child neglect, and exposure of children to methamphetamine manufacturing.

Both are being held in Southern Regional Jail.

A man and a woman are behind bars after State Police troopers discovered a meth lab in their car.

According to troopers with the WVSP, the suspects failed to stop at a red light on Harper Road in Beckley Friday night around 10 p.m. After initiating a traffic stop, the trooper found a meth lab in the car.

The suspects also had a 17-month old child in the car.

Both the driver and passenger are facing multiple charges including operating a clandestine lab, child neglect, exposure of children to methamphetamine manufacturing, and conspiracy to commit a felony.

The suspects are being held in Southern Regional Jail.

No names have been released at this time.
